The Australian Kashmiri Association (AKAI) is a not for profit organisation established in 2014 with the aim of fostering the cultural identity of Kashmiris within the Australian multicultural environment and contribute to the development of Kashmir.
In view of AKAI’s goal, it seeks to bring Australian Kashmiris together by connecting with Kashmiris across the country and celebrate being Australian with Kashmiri heritage. At the same time, through various initiatives, it lends support to various social and community projects contributing to the welfare of Kashmiris in and outside Kashmir.

Our Executive Committee
We have a dedicated team comprising of 8 people from different states in Australia. This team forms the core executive committee which oversees the day to day operations of the organization. The core executive team is elected by members of the community every year.
